Sew and Tell-My First Edition

My cousin Laura, who I hang out with a lot because she is way too cool to not hang out with (although I wish we didn't live 25 minutes apart so we could hang out more), has what she calls, a "sickening sister in law." Sickening only because she is good at everything. In reality Laura adores her and talks about her all the time, so I happened to start blog stalking said "sickening sister in law" and fell in love with her sewing ideas...hence the "hoobaby that's a nice bag" post from 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, on her blog, sickening sister in law does a weekly "sew and tell" where you post a picture of something you have sewn that week on your blog and link back to hers and basically everyone just gets to show off their stuff and it can motivate you to keep sewing and having fun creating new things.

It really has motivated me to sew, something that I love to do once I get going.

So, in the last couple of days I went through my stash of remnants from old projects and used them. I have fabric pieces sitting around in my sewing drawer that have been there for 5 or more years and it feels great to put them to good use...sewing one of my favorite things-aprons! I even got creative with the last one and added some cute ribbon.

So, here they are for my first ever sew and tell!

Tell me this isn't adorable?

ps-Thanks Josh for being so patient with all my project "messes" (should more properly called explosions) all over the house. My mother can sympathize with you. :)

  4. Sam hates it too! There will be thread and the ironing board and scraps all over the house whenever I start something new. You keepin all those?!?

  5. That is why I have my own room to make all the mess I want and not have my love yell OUCH because he stepped on a straight pin.

They are all oh so pretty. Especially the one with little colored blocks and orange pocket.

  17. I have that same train fabric! I wouldn't have sent you an apron if I knew you had been sewing so many! Also, didn't know Nathan had lost his two front teeth, so cute! I had so many other things to comment on, but can't remember now and have crying kids, let's talk.
